General description
Activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein (ARC), also known as Activity-regulated gene 3.1 protein homolog (ARG3.1), plays an important role in synaptic plasticity and the formation of long-term memory. ARC is enriched in the postsynaptic density of dendritic spines and regulates endocytosis of AMPA receptors in response to synaptic activity and is required for homeostatic synaptic scaling of AMPA receptors. ARC also plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology, cytoskeletal organization, stress fiber dynamics, and cell migration.
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human ARC.
